About Vincent Bugliosi

...Famous prosecuting attorney, consummate trial expert and author of the current bestselling book, THE PROSECUTION OF GEORGE W. BUSH FOR MURDER (2008), the controversial tome on the origins of the war that has resulted in the deaths of over 4000 Americans in Iraq.

You may not be familiar with the book as the media has ignored it.  Are they afraid of its political incorrectness?  You bet.  But in late July of this year, Mr. Bugliosi testified before the House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary’s hearing on The Imperial Presidency of George W. Bush.

Never one to shy away from an argument, Vincent Bugliosi’s previous book, RECLAIMING HISTORY: The Assassination of John F. Kennedy (2007), was a 1632-page opus that “rattled some cages” while conclusively proving that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.  Polls reveal that over 75 percent of Americans believe there was a conspiracy behind Lee Harvey Oswald; some even believe  Oswald was entirely innocent.  In his speeches, just as in the absorbing and historic book–Vincent Bugliosi shows how we have come to believe such lies about an event that changed the course of history.  Using a compendium of fact, forensic evidence, reexamination of key witnesses, and common sense, every detail and nuance is accounted for, every conspiracy theory revealed as a fraud upon the American public.

In addition to being a big-time attorney and author, Mr. Bugliosi has been an outstanding speaker for over three decades.  He consistently draws highly-energized capacity crowds and is willing to engage in a lively give-and-take with any audience.  Vincent Bugliosi has spoken before hundreds of thousands of people. With a warm personal style and a clear understanding of the facts, he is compelling, dynamic, and yet sensitive, even when discussing the tactics and techniques of trying a case.

“Perry Mason”, “Inherit The Wind”, “The DA”, “LA Law”--over the years, many legal battles have been portrayed in literature, on film and on television.  Courtroom drama holds a unique place in the American mind, exemplifying the victory of truth and justice over evil.

Mr. Bugliosi received his law degree in 1964 from UCLA Law School.  In his eight-year career as a prosecutor of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, he tried close to 1,000 cases.  He lost only one of the 106 felony cases he prosecuted.  His most famous trial was that of Charles Manson.  But even before that, the starring role of Robert Conrad in the TV series, “The DA”, was patterned after him.  None other than F. Lee Bailey called Bugliosi “the quintessential prosecutor.”

In addition to the two books cited previously, Bugliosi is the author of HELTER SKELTER (1974), the biggest selling true crime book in publishing history.  The book was turned into a highly successful television movie which drew high ratings even in reruns.  He is also the author of the national best sellers, TILL DEATH US DO PART: A True Murder Mystery (1978) , AND THE SEA WILL TELL (1991),which became #1 on The New York Times best seller list and was made into a four-hour CBS miniseries.  Next was OUTRAGE: The Five Reasons Why O.J. Simpson Got Away With Murder (1996) followed by THE PHOENIX SOLUTION: Getting Serious About Winning America’s Drug War (1996); NO ISLAND OF SANITY: Paula Jones vs. Bill Clinton-The Supreme Court on Trial (1998); and his last, THE BETRAYAL OF AMERICA: How The Supreme Court Undermined The Constitution and Chose Our President (2001).
